ABOUT ME

Malieke was born & raised in Canarsie, Brooklyn. He is the son of immigrants who left Jamaica in the 1980s. His love for photography began in high-school after discovering his father’s Canon-AE1 film camera. He started exploring NYC to find its beauty and quickly learned that it exists everywhere. Malieke gravitates towards portraiture and believes capturing the likeness of another person creates a connection. His goal is to make a positive impact on the way we define beauty.
